Please note that we have a 48-hour cancellation policy to receive a full refund. We hope you understand. If you do not call to cancel or reschedule your appointment before then, you will forfeit your entire payment. All prices subject to change.
NO. Thank you for keeping our facilities smoke free for our team and guests enjoyment. We do not allow any smoking on property at any time. This is not only to protect the well being of our facility, but protect the National Forest.
Rain or Shine, our tubs are Amazing. Many of our guests comment on how enjoyable the rain feels as you soak. Our private hot tubs are open to the sky so we recommend bringing a hat if you do not enjoy rain on your face.
In the event of Thunder and/or Lightening, we do ask you to exit your tub until passes. You are welcome to enjoy our Sauna or Spa Lounge in the meantime.
Bathing suits are Optional in the hot tubs, we ask that when you are walking to and from your tub that you wear the robe we provide. Our Cedar Sauna is communal. Please keep a towel, robe or bathing suit on in our sauna.
During massage, our therapist keep you draped with a sheet and a blanket to ensure your comfort. Please REMOVE your WET bathing suit prior to a massage if you brought one to wear.
Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
Our current beverage policy for alcohol is that it isn’t available for purchase, it’s only complimentary with our two premiere packages: The Buddha’s Best and the 2-Hour Tub Soak. Guests are sll welcome to purchase their choice of Hot Chocolate, Hot Tea, Juices, or an assortment of CBD drinks.
Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
All accommodations have a microwave, refrigerator, and coffeemaker. There are no dining services at Shoji.
We do offer a Service, “Takeout Central” , that will deliver takeout food to your room from different restaurants around Asheville with Complimentary Delivery! Call, Order and Give them your Special Shoji Guest Code for complimentary delivery.

While we all are animal lovers here, we unfortunately do not allow pets on property, including the parking lot, so we may provide a quiet, serene and tranquil visit for all of our guests.
We are approximately 10 minutes from downtown.
We are approximately 15 minutes from Biltmore.
We are approximately 20 minutes from the Grove Park Inn.

Yes, a 20% service charge will be charged at the time of booking.
YES. A shower is Required to remove all lotions, oils, makeup, hair product, spray tan, etc. Recently dyed hair, MUST be pulled up and out of the water completely. These efforts are required to keep our tubs clean for all of our guests.
Yes, the tubs are cleaned through regular circulation and from the “natural” chlorine our 100% PURE SALT creates in addition to hand scrubbing by our Maintenance team everyday. We are proud to provide natural, safe and naturally sanitized tubs for everyone’s enjoyment every day of the year!
NO. ANY Additives to our tubs is Strictly Prohibited.
Yes!
Our tubs are all completely private and can be locked. The front is open so that you can enjoy the scenery of the surrounding forest but no one can see in.
Our Cedar Sauna is communal. A Bathing Suit, Towel or Robe is required in the Sauna.
NO. ANY use of candles or open flames is Strictly Prohibited. We are in a National Forest.
Our hot tubs and amenities are outdoors so you may run into a few bugs and critters. We celebrate nature every season of the year.
Our massage rooms have been created for absolute visual privacy.
If you brought a bathing suit, please be sure to Remove Your Wet Bathing Suit prior to your Massage.
We offer SALT Hydrotherapy Tubs. Salt produces a Natural chlorine to maintain cleanliness and safety. Additionally, our tubs are completely cleaned through continuous circulation every 10-15 minutes.
We ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes early for your appointment to follow the Japanese tradition of bathing in separate waters.
A Shower is REQUIRED prior to your Soak. You must be free of oils, lotions and perfumes for cleanliness of our Salt Hot Tubs and Cedar Sauna.
You will be provided a robe and sandals to wear on property and a tote bag to store your belongings and keep with you. We recommend bringing as little with you as possible. We are a petite, low-key retreat
Reservation FAQs
We recommend making All Spa Reservations at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance for specific dates and times. The further out you can reserve your Soak, Massage or Spa Package the better!

You can stay as long as you like depending upon availability of our rooms.

Unfortunately, Spa Services and amenities are Not Included with Any Accommodation Stay. Please reserve your spa services by contacting our Spa Coordinators at 828-299-0999.
NO. Private Hot Tubs and all Spa Services are to be Reserved with an appointment made with one of our wonderful Spa Coordinators! Spa service fee applies and must be Paid at time of service(s).
Spa Services cannot be Paid along with accommodation or added to your Room.
